Cable Repair

The cables do the lifting alongside the springs, they run up the sides of the door to the drums. When one frays or snaps, the door drops on that side, jams in the tracks, or ends up off-track entirely.
What failed usually looks like
A frayed cable shows rust and broken strands before it snaps, visible along the sides of the door. A snapped cable leaves the door tilted or frozen mid-travel. Both are the same repair: new cables, reset the drums, rebalance the door.
Why it matters here
Cables rust faster in the damp air than the schedule assumes. A door that hangs unevenly or makes a grinding noise from one side is usually showing the fray before the snap, worth a look before it becomes the bigger problem.
