Weather Seal

The weather seal is the rubber or vinyl gasket along the bottom of the door and the trim around the sides and top. The marine air and freeze-thaw in this county split it faster than most places.
What a bad seal costs
- Water running under the door every wet season.
- Cold air and pests finding the gap.
- A door that ices to the driveway in January because the seal tore.
A seal swap is a fast repair that prevents the bigger problems.
The fix
Bottom seal replacement is the common one, a new gasket cut to length and set into the door's retainer. Side and top weatherstripping comes off and goes back on. Both are quick service-call work.
